Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the scientific flow of environmental economics research in the Web of Science reference database along with drawing a scientific map. The method of this research was applied and with the approach of scientometrics and bibliometric analysis. According to the time of the research, this research is longitudinal and according to the type of data, the said research is quantitative. The statistical community of this research is all indexed scientific productions related to environmental economics in the Web of Science database, which is 1248 information records. The findings showed that China ranks first with the production of 363 information records. Regarding co-authorship networks between countries, the findings show that China has had more scientific cooperation with America, England and Pakistan. The most scientific productions are related to 2022, when 159 records were recorded in that year. The first recession related to environmental economics in this database is from 1967. SUSTAINABILITY magazine from Switzerland has won the first rank by producing 47 scientific recessions. The most active author is Li Y with 9 records and 17 citations. The keywords constituting the scientific records are classified into 7 general clusters. All the clusters have a lot of intertwining and this shows the great connection and dependence of environmental economics topics with each other. The findings from drawing the strategic diagram also indicate that the clusters of "environment and economy" and "sustainable development and environmental economics" have been the focus of researchers' attention as mature and central concepts and have found an established place in the scientific literature.
