We are pleased to present the new issue of the *Journal of Interdisciplinary Economic Studies* at the beginning of the new Iranian year—a year designated by the Supreme Leader as one of “Resilient Economy through National Unity and Security.” We hope this year will bring intellectual growth, broader interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful scientific progress for researchers, scholars, and academics.
The publication of this issue represents more than the continuation of our regular editorial activities. In recent months, the journal has been awarded a Grade B ranking by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology—an achievement that marks an important milestone in our academic trajectory. This success reflects the trust of researchers, the valuable contributions of distinguished reviewers, and the sustained efforts of our editorial team.
Advancing scholarly work in a society that at times faces economic and social challenges—shaped by various external pressures and the lingering effects of past conflicts—is made possible by researchers who pursue their academic responsibilities with renewed commitment. By producing reliable knowledge, offering evidence‑based analyses, and proposing practical solutions, the scientific community plays a vital role in strengthening economic resilience—an endeavor that gains deeper meaning in the context of national unity and sustained security.
In such circumstances, reassessing emerging economics including Iran’s position in the international economic and trade system, as well as reviewing policies, strategies, and models aligned with the concept of a resilient economy, becomes essential. Effective policymaking, institutional improvement, productivity enhancement, risk management, and the pursuit of sustainability all require the active engagement of scholars and experts. From this perspective, academic efforts represent not only the continuation of knowledge production but also a contribution to strengthening the country’s economic capacity in the face of ongoing pressures and evolving national needs.
Today’s economy is more intertwined than ever with human behavior, social structures, cultural dynamics, philosophical foundations, and public policy mechanisms. In an increasingly complex world, we rely on researchers who look beyond traditional disciplinary boundaries and, through diverse methods and perspectives, offer deeper insights into economic phenomena.
The mission of this journal is to provide a rigorous platform for dialogue between economics and related fields such as behavioral sciences, sociology, psychology, data science, philosophy of science, law, and policy studies—domains in which interdisciplinary approaches have flourished. We aim to foster discussions that directly address the needs, challenges, and priorities of the contemporary economy.
In the coming year, we remain committed to enhancing the experience of both authors and reviewers. We will continue to refine the peer‑review process with the support of qualified reviewers, transparent evaluation procedures, and clear timelines—ensuring efficiency alongside scholarly rigor. We believe that timely and high‑quality publication facilitates scientific advancement, enriches scholarly interaction, and strengthens academia’s ability to respond to real societal challenges.
We warmly invite all researchers and scholars to submit their work to the Journal of Interdisciplinary Economic Studies and to join us in advancing this important intellectual mission.
Looking ahead, we seek not only to elevate the scientific quality of our articles but also to broaden the thematic and methodological diversity of the journal. Our objective is to cultivate a venue for raising new questions, presenting innovative approaches, and shaping an emerging body of literature in interdisciplinary economics—one that, within the general framework of a resilient economy supported by social stability, contributes to understanding and addressing current national issues while exploring avenues for constructive engagement with the global economy.
Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Economics
